Prostitutes and Pimps:
A prostitute absorbs all of humanity’s desires and despair. In front of her, class, morality, and identity become powerless. Whether old or poor, twisted in character, a thief or a murderer, or someone cast out by society—it doesn’t matter to her. The only thing that matters is money. Money is her lifeline and her truth.
Prostitution can be called the oldest profession in human history. Once transactions began, there were those who sought to profit from them. They became the pimps. Pimps manage the trade and make money not with their bodies, but through systems.
As the number of pimps increased, so did conflict. Battles over profits and control erupted among them. To mediate and establish order, the Pimp Union was formed. With their own rules and structures, they built a more organized and solid ecosystem of desire.
Farming and the Market:
After the era of hunting and gathering, humanity faced a monumental shift: the age of agriculture. This change redefined the social status of women. Farming required labor, and population growth meant increased labor power. The ability to bear and raise children became a societal asset.
Agriculture created surplus production, leading to the emergence of markets. Markets restructured power. More land meant greater production, and men were sent to war. Landowners became powerful, and war became an inevitability rather than a choice.
Yet the pyramid remained. The elite enjoyed the surplus and luxury, while those beneath continued to suffer hunger and poverty. The structure changed, but imbalance persisted.
Industrialization and Machines:
Industrialization emerged as a solution. Machines replaced human hands, and labor became more efficient. A new class—the middle class—was born. Concepts like hobbies, leisure, and personal life emerged during this period.
In the past, most of one’s day was spent surviving. The idea of the “individual” was a luxury. Though industrialization shook the structure, society remained a pyramid. Only the middle layer widened.
Information became money. Systems became power. But the apex still belonged to the few.
The Next Era:
Desire becomes capital. Emotion becomes a commodity. Some say that neuro-capitalism—where even consciousness, feelings, and brainwaves are monetized—is on the rise. But that’s not the whole story. The next wave lies elsewhere.
The next era is not about survival. It’s not the era of labor, capital, or intellect. And yet, why should humans continue to live?
The world now yearns not for technology, but for meaning. In a time where even bodies, time, and thoughts can be sold, what cannot be bought—what cannot be taken—will be the seed of the next era.
That is “reason for being.” The meaning of life, mission, and essence of existence will become the currency of the future. In that time, “those who feel deeply,” and “those who exist truthfully” will stand at the center.
The next era is a “mission-based society.” Empathy, sincerity, intuition, soul, authenticity, and community. These cannot be measured, but people can no longer live without them.
What does it mean to exist truthfully?
It means not hiding one’s reason for being. To live without masks, to remain unmoved by others’ judgments, and to embody one’s inner mission. This person does not imitate others or chase societal expectations but holds onto their inner truth to the end.
They align words with actions, reveal their internal chaos without being ruled by it, and have the courage to expose both their scars and light.
They are humble yet not timid, confident yet not arrogant. They act not according to others’ evaluations, but by the standard of their own soul. Their words resonate, and their existence offers direction.
They draw out others’ truths. And when these truths connect and resonate, they become the power of community. That is the leader—and the center—of the next era.

창녀와 포주:
창녀는 인간의 모든 욕망과 절망을 흡수하는 존재다. 그 앞에서는 계급도, 도덕도, 정체성도 무력해진다. 늙었거나 가난하거나, 성격이 뒤틀렸거나, 도둑이거나 살인자이거나, 혹은 사회로부터 배척당한 존재라 하더라도 그녀에게 중요한 것은 오직 하나, 돈이다. 돈은 그녀의 생명줄이자 진리다.
창녀는 인류 최초의 직업이라 할 수 있다. 거래가 발생하고, 그것을 이용해 수익을 창출하려는 자들이 생겨났다. 그들이 바로 포주다. 포주는 거래를 관리하고, 몸이 아닌 시스템으로 돈을 번다.
포주가 늘어나자 갈등과 다툼이 발생했다. 더 많은 이윤, 더 많은 통제를 두고 포주들 간에 싸움이 벌어진다. 이를 중재하고 질서를 세우기 위해 만들어진 것이 바로 포주연합체다. 그들은 자신들만의 규칙과 구조를 통해, 이 욕망의 생태계를 더욱 체계적이고 견고하게 만든다.
농사와 시장:
채집과 사냥의 시대를 지나 인류는 농사라는 거대한 전환점을 맞는다. 이 변화는 여성의 사회적 위치를 바꿔놓았다. 농사는 노동력을 요구했고, 인구의 확대는 곧 노동력의 증대였다. 아이를 낳고 키우는 능력이 사회적 자산이 되었던 것이다.
농경은 잉여 생산물을 만들어냈고, 그것은 시장의 출현으로 이어졌다. 시장은 권력의 재편을 불러왔다. 더 많은 생산을 위한 땅이 필요했고, 남성은 전쟁터로 나가야 했다. 땅을 소유한 자가 권력을 쥐었고, 전쟁은 선택이 아닌 필연이 되었다.
그러나 피라미드는 여전히 존재했다. 꼭대기는 잉여를 누리며 향락을 즐겼지만, 그 아래층은 여전히 가난과 굶주림에 시달렸다. 구조는 바뀌었지만, 불균형은 남았다.
산업화와 기계:
그 해답처럼 등장한 것이 산업화다. 기계는 인간의 손을 대신했고, 노동은 효율화되었다. 중산층이라는 새로운 계급이 생겨났다. 취미와 여가, 개인의 삶이라는 개념이 등장한 것도 이 시기다.
과거에는 하루 대부분을 생존에 써야 했다. ‘개인’이라는 개념 자체가 사치였다. 산업화는 그 구조를 뒤흔들었지만, 여전히 사회는 피라미드였다. 다만 피라미드의 중간층이 넓어진 것이다.
정보가 돈이 되었고, 시스템이 권력이 되었다. 하지만 정점은 여전히 소수만이 점유하고 있었다.
다음 시대는?
욕망이 자본이 되고, 감정이 상품이 되는 시대. 이제 인간의 의식, 감정, 뇌파마저도 수익화되는 ‘신경 자본주의’가 다가오고 있다고들 말한다. 그러나 그것이 전부는 아니다. 그 다음은, 다른 곳에 있다.
다음 시대는 ‘생존’을 위한 시대가 아니다. 노동의 시대도, 자본의 시대도, 뇌의 시대도 아니다. 그럼에도 불구하고 인간은 왜 살아야 하는가?
세상은 지금 ‘기술’이 아닌 ‘의미’를 갈망하고 있다. 몸도, 시간도, 생각도 팔 수 있는 시대에 팔리지 않는 것, 그 누구도 빼앗을 수 없는 것이 있다면 그것이 다음 시대의 씨앗이다.
그것은 ‘존재 이유’이다. 삶의 의미, 사명, 존재의 본질이 미래의 통화가 된다. 그 시대에는 “가장 잘 느끼는 자”, “가장 진실하게 존재하는 자”가 중심에 선다.
다음 시대는 ‘사명 기반 사회’다. 공감, 진심, 직관, 영혼, 진실성, 공동체. 이 모든 것은 측정할 수 없지만, 사람들은 이제 그것 없이는 살아갈 수 없게 된다.
가장 진실하게 존재하는 자란 무엇인가?
그는 자신의 존재 이유를 숨기지 않는 자다. 가면 없이 살아가는 자, 누군가의 시선이나 평가에 흔들리지 않고 자기 안의 사명을 삶으로 살아내는 자. 그는 남을 흉내내지 않고, 세상의 기대를 좇지도 않으며, 자기 존재의 ‘진실’을 끝까지 붙들고 간다.
그는 말과 행동이 일치하며, 내면의 혼란을 숨기지 않되 그것에 휘둘리지 않고, 자신이 받은 상처와 빛을 모두 드러낼 줄 아는 용기를 가진다.
그는 겸손하되 위축되지 않고, 당당하되 오만하지 않으며, 사람들의 평가보다 자기 영혼의 기준에 따라 움직인다. 그의 말은 울림을 주고, 그의 존재는 방향이 된다.
그는 타인의 진실도 끌어낸다. 그 진실이 연결되고 공명되며 공동체의 힘이 된다. 이것이 다음 시대의 리더이며, 중심이다.
